Boarding at Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4, when studying becomes crucial, we give boarders far more independence.

Boarders have access to all the same facilities as in Key Stage 3 with the addition of:

  • An independent kitchen
  • 1-2 people to a bedroom only
  • Segregated corridor where their bedrooms sit
  • Private study area
  • Own Common Room
  • Dedicated, unsupervised study time

There is a Year 11 Main House Captain who takes a ‘big sibling’ role.

The House Captain is responsible for communicating the boarders' views to the House Staff, during regular meetings.  This is an important role for communicating the changes the boarders would like and any pastoral issues House Staff need to be aware of.
