Admission Process

Princess Helena College is transitioning to a fully co-educational school and is now accepting applications for boys from September 2020 into Years 7, 8, 9 and 12.

There are opportunities to visit and get a taste of life at Princess Helena College throughout the academic year.

1.     Come to our Open Days and Mornings

Open Days are held on a Saturday twice a year. We also host Open Mornings which are held on weekdays and provide an opportunity for prospective families to see the School at work. Parents can speak to specific teachers one-to-one, meet our Head, tour the School and see what daily life is like at PHC. Personal tours are also available on a date convenient to you. 2.     Entrance Test

Students will sit their entrance test in January 2020 and take three papers: English - 50 minutes; Mathematics - 60 minutes; Verbal Reasoning - 30 minutes.

3.     Meet the Head

Prospective parents and their son or daughter meets with our Headmistress, in her study.  This gives parents and children the opportunity to ask specific questions they may have about PHC. It also gives us the opportunity to find out more about your child and how we could help them thrive.

Incoming Year 7 and 9 Assessment Day - Thursday 16 January 2020

Incoming Scholarship Interviews - Monday 20 January - Friday 24 January 2020


Guaranteed Place Scheme

We offer a Guaranteed Place Scheme which allows students from Year 5 or Year 6 to secure a place at Princess Helena College in Year 7 or 9 respectively. The early assessment and subsequent guaranteed place gives parents the assurance of a secured place for their son/daughter's future school education.
