Higher Education & Careers
The Future
Our Sixth Form provides students with the opportunity to study, socialise and gain the skills of independent living. The aim of the Sixth Form is to develop students as leaders, role models and positive young adults, and our students leave Princess Helena College as independent learners ready for the next stage of life's journey in this global, competitive and fast-paced world.
Leadership, Service & Volunteering
As a Sixth Former, students have a pivotal role within the School. There are many opportunities to develop leadership, support younger students and make a positive contribution to the School community. Sixth Form students also have many opportunities to take responsibility and to motivate, persuade and lead others.
In Year 12, students will also be invited to apply to become a Prefect; a highly respected position of responsibility. There is a rigorous application process for Prefect positions, which requires applicants to complete a CV, a letter of application and present their ideas at a formal interview. The Prefect Team work with the Head and Head of Sixth Form throughout the year, helping to develop the School. Prefects run clubs and activities and oversee many aspects of school life.
