Wellbeing at PHC: Take Notice

/ Categories: General

This week PHC have focussed on one of the 5 ways to wellbeing 'Take Notice'. Studies have shown that being aware of what is taking place in the present directly enhances your well-being and savouring 'the moment' can help to reaffirm your life priorities.

To embrace the moment and enjoy the beautiful grounds staff have made it their mission to teach outside! Taking notice of our beautiful surroundings has benefitted students and staff from all year groups. Year 7 have created shoeboxes that replicate a landscape of their choice, year 8 have been reading in the magnolia tree and year 12 have been drawing in the rose garden.

Many young people have found lockdown difficult and YoungMinds is a fantastic organisation that help support children returning back to school after lock down. Their website is full of information on coping with different feelings and different ways of getting support. Find out more about YoungMinds here: https://youngminds.org.uk/
