Students at Princess Helena College in Hitchin celebrate A Level success

Students at Princess Helena College have once again achieved impressive results with over half of students receiving A* - B grades and nearly three quarters of all students attaining A* - C grades.
Outgoing Head Girl Emily Pattison Blain, Serena Polycarpou and Leela Wolstencroft excelled, with a clean sweep of A* and A grades.
Emily will be reading Philosophy at St Andrews University. Serena is heading to Queen Mary University London to read Law and Politics. Leela will be studying Law at LSE.
“I’m a bit overwhelmed but so pleased, I couldn’t have achieved these results without the help and support of all my teachers at Princess Helena College. I’m really excited about heading to university and will take many happy memories with me of my time at Princess Helena College.”
Other university destinations for Year 13 students include Nottingham, Birmingham and Oxford Brookes where they will study a wide range of subjects including Medicine, Psychology, Law, Philosophy, Geography and Politics.
The school’s Head, Sarah Davis said:
“I am pleased that the hard work and commitment of the students have been reflected in these excellent results. Our Year 13 leavers are to embark on a wide variety of courses at university which reflects Princess Helena College’s nurturing ethos to develop each student’s individual strengths and talents”.
Princess Helena College is a co-educational independent day & boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18 which is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2020.
The school has been a member of United Learning since November 2018. United Learning is one of the UK’s largest charitable organisations, that aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country.
