Remembrance Day 2020 at PHC
/ Categories: 13 November 2020General
This Wednesday 11 of November saw the entire school come together to observe the two-minutes silence. Our short Act of Remembrance enabled us to gather as one community to reflect on the sacrifices made by the people of the past and to consider, just for a moment, the price of the liberties we take for granted today.
The short service was made more special by the involvement of students across the school in a variety of different ways all of whom played an important role in ensuring this could take place. I want to thank Alice Keenan, Dr Faulkes, Megan Rees, Katie Warne and Charlie Parr who led us on the morning, and also the large number of students that contributed to creating our large wreath and a smaller ceramic poppies. These will now remain on display in Whitehall.
Notwithstanding the sobriety of the occasion, this was the first time that we have been able to gather together, observing social distancing, this year and we would like to thank all students and staff for joining us.
