Princess Helena College congratulate students on GCSE success

Students at Princess Helena College are celebrating the results of their hard work with 40% of results at grade 9 - 7. On average 57% of grades achieved across all three Sciences were grade 9 / 8, Chemistry in particular demonstrated an outstanding achievement with over 70% of students gaining grades 9 / 8.
Over a third of the year group gained an overall value added score of 1 – 2 grades above their predicted results. 20% of students in English Language achieved value added grades that were 3 – 4 grades higher than predicted.
Head, Mrs Sarah Davis said:
“I’m so pleased that all the students’ hard work and the superb support of their teachers has culminated in these very successful results. In particular these grades reflect one of the underlying principles of Princess Helena College which is to allow students to flourish and in very many cases exceed their expectations”.
Particularly outstanding performances were from twins Janine and Gabrielle Cliff-Afemari, who between them received eighteen 9 / 8 grades. Joey Mok and Tanisha Dutton also excelled, with Joey receiving ten 9 / 8 grades and Tanesha receiving nine 9 / 8 grades.

These results follow Princess Helena College’s excellent A Level results last week. Princess Helena College is a co-educational independent day & boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18 which is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2020.
