PHC Visit The National Portrait Gallery

/ Categories: General

On Wednesday 15 January our Year 10 and Year 12 photography classes enjoyed a trip to the National Portrait Gallery in London. Students explored the photographs on display at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. This is a showcase of incredible portraiture by talented young photographers and established professionals.

The students then spent their afternoon photographing London, from moving buses to complex bridge structures. To end the day, we explored the Dora Maar exhibition at the Tate Modern. This surrealist photography has influenced Year 12 student Charlie’s A Level photography coursework and this was a fantastic opportunity for him to view the original photographs.
