The Sixth Form at PHC continues to go from strength to strength, with this year’s excellent A Level results. Almost one quarter of all grades are at A* - A, whilst 79% of grades are at A* - C and represent a breadth of achievement across the academic spectrum.

The School has once again demonstrated its particular strength in Creative Arts, with 40% of grades at A* - A, and 100% at A* - C.

Outgoing Head Girl Maddie Thompson, who gained A*,A,B, said: “I am feeling very overwhelmed and emotional!  I’m so grateful for all the support from my teachers at PHC, and proud of myself that I have managed to get into my first choice uni – because after all these exams were very difficult!  But all the hard work has paid off, and I’m excited and ready to take this next step”.  Maddie will be going to Bristol University to study International Relations and Spanish.

Most of the Year 13 are continuing their studies at university and the range of subjects include Mechanical Engineering, English Literature, Psychology, Geography and Mathematics with Management.  Ellie Lee, who gained 3 A’s, will be following foundation course at the Young Actors Theatre in Islington.

Headmistress, Sue Wallace-Woodroffe said, “I am very proud of the impressive achievements of our Year 13 students.  It is particularly pleasing to see pupils of all abilities doing so well and demonstrates how an education at PHC adds value.  I am delighted for them and their teachers, and congratulate them all on their hard work and commitment.”
