PHC House Art Competition
/ Categories: 13 January 2020General
This year’s House Art was a fantastic competition which combined individual photography entries with an overall house banner. There were junior, senior and staff categories for the photography competition and a beautiful array of photographs were entered which responded to the theme of 'Community'. The photographs entered interpreted the theme in a range of ways, from the sense of community felt at a festival to a community of cacti. Congratulations to the winners in each round.

Last week a selection of students from each house worked on a collaborative banner which represents their house values. They used a range of art techniques such as felting, lino printing, knitting, crochet and fabric painting. York house won this portion of the competition, Gloucester came second and Windsor third. York created a design which showed a range of techniques that were executed to a high standard.
Overall, the points were totalled together and the winner of house art for 2020 is York! Windsor came second and Gloucester came third.

I am so proud of all of the students who contributed towards this competition. It was lovely to see students from Years 7 to 13 contributing towards one piece of artwork with such great team work.
