Lacrosse Season is Up and Running at PHC

Lacrosse Season is Up and Running at PHC

/ Categories: General

On Saturday 11 January Princess Helena College had the first U19 fixture of the season against a strong St Albans side.

Captained by Katie in Year 12, PHC produced a great comeback in the second half having been trailing 7-0 at half time. In the second half, PHC showed great resilience through Mel and Olivia against a talented St Albans attack and three goals were scored through Nelly, Sacha and Grace.

Some promising runs from Hannah and Fiona led to further opportunities and more sustained attacks. Unfortunately, two goals were disallowed as the game went on which meant the comeback was incomplete and PHC finished the game in defeat.

Player of the match went to Jorja for making some fantastic saves and keeping the team in the game. PHC’s long history with lacrosse continues with fixtures against Abbot’s Hill and Haileybury for U14s and U19s in the next couple of weeks. Good luck to all involved!
