Boarding House News: 18 September 2020

What wonderful celebrations happened on the evening before the first day of term, when new and returning boarders filled the first and second floors of the main building (aka the Boarding House) with squeals of delight and whoops of joy as they were able to not only discover their new bedrooms, but mainly to see their friends and ‘boarding sisters’ again after nearly six months of separation. The laughter, smiles, hugs (and tears) have since subsided, however they certainly made for an unforgettably exuberant and gleeful sight.
Nearly three weeks into term and life in the ‘boarding bubble’ has settled into a busy, happy and purposeful routine. Not all of our ‘family’ are with us yet; some have only very recently been able to re-join us, and others are still currently overseas, but the boarders who are already here are making sure that the House is a fun, connected and supportive community for us all. We have welcomed three new members of staff and a brand-new minibus, and have been making great use of the wonderful PHC grounds and the blissful Indian summer to create what will be the first of numerous happy memories throughout the year.
Pictures attached show a couple of attempts at a photo of some of this year’s PHC boarders. Hilarity prevailed, to the amusement of us all ... and now you!
