Anti-Bullying Week 2020
/ Categories: General
This Year Darcy, Head of Year 9, organised activities for the whole school to take part in during Anti-Bullying week. Here is Darcy’s summary of the week…
‘The week commencing the 16 of November was national anti-bullying week in the UK. Here at PHC we ran a series of activities throughout the week to spread awareness on bullying and how to prevent it.
We started off with an anti-bullying assembly and began work on puzzle pieces which contained our ideas on how we can unite to prevent bullying. On Tuesday, we wrote kindness postcards to another student in the school, which were to distributed later in the week.
Over Thursday and Friday, we collectively made a graffiti piece to represent how as a school and community we will stop bullying. On the final day, we received the postcards that were written to us and completed the puzzle pieces to make one complete anti-bullying puzzle.
I think it was really beneficial as a school to highlight and refocus on anti-bullying as it should always be a subject at the forefront of our awareness.’
